Halo Misting Systems Limited Warranty

This Limited Warranty applies to Halo Misting Systems high-pressure misting kits purchased directly from Halo Misting Systems or from an authorized seller.

Effective Date: Jan 1, 2025

1. WARRANTY COVERAGE

Halo Misting Systems warrants eligible high-pressure misting kit components against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, subject to the terms, exclusions, registration requirements, maintenance requirements, and claim procedures stated in this Limited Warranty.

This Limited Warranty applies only when the system has been installed, operated, maintained, and winterized in accordance with the Halo Misting Systems User Manual and any written instructions provided with the product.

2. WARRANTY PERIODS

Pump Warranty

The misting pump is covered for one year from the delivery date.

Stainless Steel Tubing and Fittings Warranty

The stainless steel tubing and included high-pressure fittings are covered for three years from the delivery date.

3. WARRANTY REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

To activate and preserve warranty coverage, the customer must submit warranty registration information to Halo Misting Systems within 30 days of delivery.

Warranty registration must be submitted by email to:

support@halomistingsystems.com

The warranty registration must include:

1. Customer name.
2. Email address.
3. Phone number, optional.
4. Order number or proof of purchase.
5. Delivery date.
6. Installation date.
7. Installation address.
8. Total number of nozzles installed.
9. Confirmation that the Halo Misting Systems User Manual was read before installation and operation.
10. Confirmation that the pump was inspected before first use.
11. Confirmation that pump oil/lubricant was added according to the instructions if the pump was tagged or otherwise required oil before first operation.
12. Confirmation that the system was purged before first startup.
13. Clear photos showing the pump location, water/filter connections, and enough of the tubing/nozzle layout for Halo Misting Systems to understand how the system was installed.

Failure to submit complete warranty registration within 30 days of delivery may result in denial of warranty coverage unless Halo Misting Systems grants a written exception.

4. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

As part of warranty registration, the customer must acknowledge the following:

1. I confirm that I read the Halo Misting Systems User Manual before installation and operation.
2. I confirm that the system was installed according to the Halo Misting Systems User Manual.
3. I confirm that the pump was installed away from direct sunlight, rain, and standing water.
4. I confirm that the system was purged before first startup.
5. I confirm that pump oil/lubricant was added according to the instructions if the pump was tagged or otherwise required oil before first operation.
6. I understand that submitting photos does not mean Halo Misting Systems has inspected, approved, certified, or accepted my installation.
7. I understand that warranty coverage is conditioned on proper installation, operation, maintenance, and winterization.

5. PHOTO SUBMISSION DISCLAIMER

Submitting installation photos does not mean Halo Misting Systems has inspected, approved, certified, accepted, or verified the quality of the installation.

Receipt of photos does not confirm that the installation complies with the Halo Misting Systems User Manual, building requirements, plumbing requirements, electrical requirements, warranty requirements, or safe installation practices.

Halo Misting Systems may review submitted photos for recordkeeping, claim evaluation, or customer support purposes, but photo receipt or non-response by Halo Misting Systems does not waive any warranty condition, exclusion, maintenance requirement, or installation requirement.

6. INSTALLATION AND USE REQUIREMENTS

Warranty coverage applies only if the system is installed and used in accordance with Halo Misting Systems instructions, including but not limited to the following requirements.

The pump must be installed on a flat, stable surface and kept away from direct sunlight, rain, standing water, and conditions that may cause water intrusion or unsafe operation.

The system must be used only with clean potable water. Use of well water, desalinated water, dirty water, extremely hard water, or water containing debris, minerals, sediment, chemicals, or contaminants may shorten pump life, clog nozzles, damage components, and void coverage for related failures.

The system must be installed with the correct number of nozzles for the pump. Too few nozzles may cause overheating, and too many nozzles may reduce performance, atomization, and evaporation.

The customer must avoid operating the pump with excessive air in the line. The system must be purged before first use as instructed.

The customer must not operate the pump if it faults, fails to operate, overheats, produces unsafe symptoms, vibrates excessively, leaks, or otherwise appears abnormal.

The customer must use proper tubing cuts, proper fitting insertion, proper mounting, proper bend radius, and proper support. Tubing must not be kinked, creased, improperly suspended, zip-tied in a way that allows sway, pre-assembled on the ground and lifted into place, or forced into corners in a way that places stress on tubing or fittings.

The stainless steel tubing must not be forced, bent, flexed, misaligned, or installed in a way that creates stress at fittings, corners, or connection points.

The outlet side of the pump must be connected using the proper high-pressure flexible tubing as instructed.

7. MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

Warranty coverage is conditioned on proper ongoing maintenance.

Required maintenance includes, but is not limited to:

1. Checking the filter regularly and cleaning it as needed.
2. Checking nozzles for hard-water buildup and cleaning or replacing them as needed.
3. Changing pump oil after the first 20 hours of use for a new pump.
4. Changing pump oil every 300 hours of operation.
5. Cleaning or replacing nozzles every 300 hours or as needed.
6. Cleaning the water filter and replacing seals as required by the maintenance schedule.
7. Replacing consumable or wear items as needed.
8. Keeping the pump housing clean and free from excessive dust, debris, yard chemicals, and buildup.

Failure to perform required maintenance may result in denial of warranty coverage for any failure caused by, related to, or made worse by lack of maintenance.

8. WINTERIZATION REQUIREMENT

If the system is installed in an area where temperatures may reach freezing, the customer must winterize the system at the end of the season.

Winterization includes turning off and unplugging the pump, disconnecting the water inlet and pressurized outlet lines from the pump, storing the pump where it will not be exposed to sub-freezing temperatures, disconnecting the hose from the faucet or hose bib, removing the FlashMist nozzles, blowing out the pressurized lines with a compressor, and reinstalling the nozzles to prevent insects or debris from entering the tubing.

Damage caused by freezing, failure to winterize, incomplete winterization, trapped water, ice expansion, or storage in freezing conditions is not covered.

9. WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS

This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in covered components during the applicable warranty period.

Covered remedies may include, at Halo Misting Systems’ discretion:

1. Replacement of the defective covered component.
2. Repair of the defective covered component.
3. Replacement with a comparable component if the original component is unavailable.
4. Store credit or refund for the defective component, where Halo Misting Systems determines replacement or repair is not practical.

Halo Misting Systems may require photos, videos, maintenance records, installation records, troubleshooting steps, and return of the defective component before approving a warranty claim.

10. WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

1. Labor, installation, reinstallation, removal, diagnosis, travel time, contractor fees, or service-call costs.
2. Damage caused by improper installation.
3. Damage caused by failure to follow the Halo Misting Systems User Manual.
4. Damage caused by failure to submit required warranty registration information within 30 days of delivery.
5. Damage caused by failure to add pump oil/lubricant before operation when required.
6. Damage caused by failure to change oil or perform required maintenance.
7. Damage caused by failure to winterize.
8. Freeze damage.
9. Damage caused by dirty water, hard water, well water, desalinated water, contaminated water, debris, sediment, chemicals, or inadequate filtration.
10. Nozzle clogging, mineral buildup, or reduced performance caused by water quality.
11. Normal wear and tear.
12. Consumable parts, including nozzles, filters, seals, O-rings, and similar maintenance items, except where defective upon arrival.
13. Damage caused by incorrect nozzle count.
14. Damage caused by pump overheating, overworking, excessive pressure, insufficient water supply, air in the line, or continued operation after a fault.
15. Damage caused by kinks, creases, abrasions, unsupported tubing, improper straps, zip ties, wire, rope, or tubing left free to sway.
16. Leaks caused by improper fitting insertion, improper cuts, stressed fittings, forced tubing alignment, or installation on out-of-square structures.
17. Damage caused by placing the pump in direct sunlight, rain, standing water, flooding, sprinklers, irrigation spray, or other unsafe environmental conditions.
18. Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, alteration, modification, disassembly, unauthorized repair, or use outside normal residential misting applications.
19. Damage caused by incompatible replacement parts, non-specified components, or third-party components where such parts caused or contributed to the failure.
20. Cosmetic issues that do not affect function.
21. Shipping damage that is not reported promptly after delivery.
22. Loss of cooling performance caused by layout choices, environmental conditions, wind, humidity, nozzle placement, incomplete area coverage, or site-specific conditions.
23. Property damage, water damage, electrical damage, staining, mold, mildew, plant damage, personal injury, lost profits, loss of use, or other incidental or consequential damages, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. NOZZLES AND CONSUMABLE PARTS

FlashMist nozzles are consumable components. They may require cleaning or replacement over time, especially in areas with hard water or high mineral content.

Nozzles, filters, seals, O-rings, flexible nylon tubing, and similar wear items are not covered for normal wear, clogging, mineral buildup, contamination, or maintenance replacement unless Halo Misting Systems determines the item was defective upon arrival.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the remedies stated in this Limited Warranty are the customer’s exclusive remedies for covered product defects.

Halo Misting Systems is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to water damage, property damage, electrical damage, personal injury, lost time, lost use, lost profits, contractor fees, or damage to structures, furniture, landscaping, flooring, patios, pergolas, or personal property.
